Crime drop in Three Rivers

Crime across the Three Rivers district is the lowest in the county, according to a police and Three Rivers Council report.



The crime rate in the period January to March 2009, was 11.6 crimes per 1,000 residents, which was 45 per cent lower than the average for Hertfordshire last year.



Offences such as domestic burglary, was reported to be down by 9.5 per cent, while criminal damage has also fallen by 4.7 per cent. Violent crime was down by almost a fifth (18.8 per cent), and vehicle crime crept down by 1.1 per cent, according to the report.
