Extra support is now available for elderly people in Watford, following the launch of a new countywide initiative, undertaken by organisations from the Safer Watford partnership.
First Contact is a new information, advice and support service in Hertfordshire. It enables older people to access a wide range of community activities and services in their local area.
Cate Hall, representing Safer Watford, said: “This initiative aims to help older people in Watford to access a wide range of preventative services through a single meeting with a scheme representative. Representatives are volunteers and staff from a wide range of agencies including Herts Constabulary, Watford Community Housing Trust, Watford Borough Council, Herts Fire and Rescue, East of England Ambulance Service and West Herts Against Crime.”
