Three Rivers Council has announced that the number of new planning applications it receives has risen by 5 per cent,
compared with the January to May period for 2009.
According to the report, the council received 514 applications between 1 January and 31 May 2010, compared with 490 between 1 January and 31 May 2009.
The number of decisions issued has also risen from 388 to 428 over the same period.
